Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms govern your use of Commute Tracker (“the app”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What the app does
Commute Tracker lets you record the plate number of any vehicle you ride, public or private (such as tricycles, jeepneys, buses, taxis, ride-hailing cars and private vehicles), keep a private history of those rides, and share that history with members of a family group you choose.
The app is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not an emergency service. It records your location only at the moment you submit a ride, and only if you allow it; it does not track you in the background. It does not verify drivers, operators or vehicles. In an emergency, contact local authorities directly.
2. Your account
- You must give a valid email address and keep your sign-in details secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- If you are under 18, use the app only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. Family groups
- You can belong to one family group at a time. A group can have up to 10 members.
- Only invite people you know and trust. Members of your group can see each other's rides.
- You can leave a group at any time. The group owner can remove members, revoke invites, or delete the group.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app to harass, stalk, threaten or monitor anyone without their consent;
- publish or share plate records to shame, accuse or target drivers or operators;
- enter information you know to be false or misleading;
- try to access other users' data, or interfere with the app's security or operation.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
You own the ride records you create. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the app for you and the family group you share with, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete individual rides at any time.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that notifications to your family will arrive on time. Plate matching (“you've ridden with this driver before”) is a convenience and may be wrong.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any harm arising from your trips, the conduct of drivers or other passengers, or your reliance on the app.
8. Changes and ending your use
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email. You can stop using the app at any time. Continuing to use it after an update means you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
